The Factory

Large commercial refurbishment project, in East London. We reimagined the defunct supermarket space as an incubator for local businesses.

Starting from an empty concrete shell, we designed a layout to include flexible office space, retail space, art and event space, break-out areas and a coffee shop. We specified new facade glazing.

To deliver an integrated design solution, we also designed the air-conditioning system layout, back of house areas and the loading bay. As the project was developed in phases, we successfully managed multiple planning applications simultaneously.
