Maniatis Hotel

Maniatis Hotel is situated in the historic centre of Sparta. The original building was constructed in the 70’s and a drastic renovation of lobby and restaurant area was needed. A minimal solution was proposed in order to be coherent to the Spartan rigorous and sincere character.

A custom-designed reception is centrally placed, separating the restaurant from the lobby. The modest size of the shared areas is visually increased by using a special wall painting technique with metal gloss. For the same reason, a lot of transparent and metallic furniture is used. The furniture was selected with desire to resemble the spontaneity and comfortness of a house and not an austere logic of a hotel lobby.
