Spatial concept for a temporary interior fit-out, developed through an intense creative dialogue with the organisers of London Contemporary Music Festival (LCMF) and delivered on an extremely tight budget and deadline.
Named as “the capital’s most adventurous and ambitious festival of new music” by The Guardian, LCMF took place in a former East London carpet factory for two weeks of music, art and performance.
The brutal concrete interior presented an aesthetic inspiration and an acoustic challenge. The fit-out included custom balustrade system, audience seating, bar area, lighting, stage set design, a unique installation of forty speakers strong sound system, and various acoustic and visual controls.
